Transcend Breathwork Academy Training Review (2026)
Transcend Breathwork Academy review. Amanda Asta's online, GPBA-listed 400-hour practitioner training from Vancouver, the $5,550 price, and verdict.
Transcend Breathwork Academy is an online breathwork school founded by Amanda Asta in Vancouver, Canada. Asta completed all five levels of Clarity Breathwork training with its founders, Dana DeLong and Ashanna Solaris, and has worked as a Clarity Breathwork practitioner and coach since. She also lists a BA from the University of British Columbia, training in cognitive behavioral therapy, volunteer work on a rape crisis line, and work with plant medicines in Peru. She writes openly about the losses and trauma that led her to breathwork.
The training teaches the Transcend Method, which Asta describes as conscious connected breathing in the Clarity style with added psychology tools, breathing biology, and trauma-informed practice.
We think Transcend has built a well-structured online practitioner path, with more one-to-one practice than most online courses and a business module that many schools leave out. Our reservations are the price, which is higher than the Clarity training it grew from, and marketing that promises more than any course can.
How the Training Works
The certification is made up of four courses, taken in order over about 22 weeks, followed by a practicum:
- Intro to Breathwork (1 week): history, benefits, and foundations
- Level 1, Personal Transformation (10 weeks): five private one-to-one breathwork sessions with an assigned Transcend facilitator, five group support calls, and self-paced content. Level 1 is the prerequisite for Level 2 and can start any time.
- Level 2, Becoming the Teacher: breathing biology, facilitating one-to-one sessions, leading group workshops, trauma-informed practice, weekly group calls, and 20 practice sessions with a partner (10 as breather, 10 as facilitator). Level 2 runs in cohorts with a waiting list.
- Business Fundamentals: business planning, branding, marketing, email, podcasts, events, and collaborations
After the courses comes a 100-hour practicum of one-to-one sessions and workshops, which you have two years to complete. The school counts the whole program as 400 hours and is listed in the GPBA directory as a certified school. Graduates get a free one-to-one business coaching session, group support calls, a members’ site, a listing in the graduate directory, and promotion on the school’s social media.
That adds up to 25 breathwork sessions during the courses plus a 100-hour practicum. For an online training, that is a solid amount of practice, comparable to Clarity’s own requirement of 30 client sessions.
Transcend Cost
| Course | Price (USD) |
|---|---|
| Intro to Breathwork | $99 |
| Level 1, Personal Transformation | $2,895 |
| Level 2, Becoming the Teacher | about $2,895 |
| Business Fundamentals | $299 |
| Complete certification, all four courses | $5,550 (a $638 saving) |
The Level 2 price is not listed separately; the figure above is what the $638 saving implies. The full program is about CAD 7,600, £4,150, or EUR 4,800. Payment plans are available on request.
That is more than Clarity Breathwork, where Levels 1 to 4 cost $4,085, though Clarity adds costs to certify that are not all published. You are paying for Transcend’s private sessions and business module.
Accreditation
Transcend appears in the GPBA directory as a certified school, the most meaningful accreditation in breathwork. See our accreditation guide. Asta is also listed by the GPBA as a certified professional breathwork practitioner and is a member of the International Breathwork Foundation.
The school says it has “review after review” and shows Google reviews for Asta. We found no independent discussion of the training beyond those.
Things to Know
The marketing overpromises. The school calls itself “one of the world’s most robust programs” and promises a “world-class breathwork practitioner.” Level 1 promises to help you “release your blocks from birth to death and everything in between,” and Asta’s bio describes it as reaching a depth “you may have only ever known from plant medicines.” Breathwork can bring up intense experiences, but these claims set expectations no course can guarantee.
It is entirely online. There is no in-person component. Your practice sessions happen over Zoom, mostly with fellow students, until the practicum.
Pros and Cons
What works well
- Real one-to-one practice - Five private sessions, 20 partner sessions, and a 100-hour practicum.
- GPBA-listed - A certified school with a 400-hour program.
- Business module - Planning, branding, and marketing, plus coaching after graduation.
- Transparent pricing - Each course is priced on the site.
What doesn't
- Pricier than its source - More than Clarity Breathwork's published levels.
- Overpromising marketing - "World-class" and plant-medicine-depth claims.
- Online only - No in-person training at any stage.
- Level 2 waiting list - Cohorts are limited, so timing can slip.
Transcend Market Comparisons
Transcend vs. Clarity Breathwork
Clarity Breathwork, where Asta trained, offers a GPBA-certified 400-hour path that can be done mostly online, from $4,085 for Levels 1 to 4, with 30 client sessions and a gentle, Rebirthing-rooted method. Choose Clarity for the original method, a longer track record, and a lower headline price. Choose Transcend for assigned private sessions, a business module, and a more structured cohort.
Transcend vs. Integrative Breath
Integrative Breath is a small, mentored, GPBA-certified training for $4,000 tuition, mostly online with a seven-day retreat in Colorado. Choose Integrative Breath for an in-person week and a strong guest faculty. Choose Transcend if you want to stay fully online and value business teaching.
Transcend vs. Breath of Gold
Breath of Gold is a $4,997, four-month, trauma-informed online certification with continuing education approval from Yoga Alliance, NASM, and AFAA. Choose Breath of Gold for broad continuing education approvals and a faster route. Choose Transcend for GPBA recognition and more one-to-one practice.

- People who cannot travel - Everything happens on Zoom.
- Fans of Clarity-style breathwork - You want that approach with more private guidance.
Who Should Pass
- People who learn best in the room - There is no in-person component.
- Price comparers - Clarity's own levels cost less on paper.
- Evidence-first buyers - See our functional breathing certifications.
Transcend Verdict
Transcend Breathwork Academy offers a clear, well-supported online route to a GPBA-listed practitioner certification. Five private sessions, 20 partner sessions, a 100-hour practicum, and a business module give graduates more practical preparation than most online trainings.
The price is high for an online course that grew out of Clarity Breathwork, and the marketing promises depths that no course can guarantee. Compare it directly with Clarity before you decide.
Bottom line: A solid online option for people who want structure, one-to-one practice, and business support in one path. Weigh it against Clarity’s own training before you pay the premium.
