Clarity Breathwork Practitioner Training Review (2026)
Clarity Breathwork review. The 400-hour GPBA-certified practitioner path, what Levels 1 to 4 cost, the costs that are not published, and who it suits.
Clarity Breathwork is a conscious connected breathing method led by its co-founders, Dana Dharma Devi and Ashanna Solaris. The school is open about its roots: it says Clarity “evolved from Rebirthing Breathwork, founded by Leonard Orr in the 1970s,” and that it took the Clarity name in 1999 because “Rebirthing” suggested the work was mainly about birth. Dana has taught internationally since 1984, and Ashanna has trained in the healing arts since 1990.
The style is described as gentle and feminine. Sessions combine connected breathing with live music and mantra, dance and movement, light body meditation, inquiry, and somatic practices. The training is recognized by the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance as a 400+ hour certified program.
In our assessment, Clarity offers one of the more complete practitioner paths in the Rebirthing family, with real client hours and supervision built in. The trade-offs are a strongly spiritual curriculum and a pricing structure where the published level fees are only part of what you will pay to certify.
The Certification Path
Clarity splits its program into five levels of training and five areas of practice.
Levels 1 and 2 are open to anyone and focus on your own process. Level 1, Sacred Breath and Embodiment, is a four-day retreat (or four 4-hour online sessions). Level 2, the Clarity Breathwork Healing Intensive, runs seven to nine days and goes deeper into birth, childhood, parental wounding, relationships, and sexuality, and includes water sessions.
Levels 3 and 4 are for people training as practitioners. Level 3 is the Practitioner’s Intensive, focused on supporting others in one-to-one sessions. Level 4 covers business, leadership, ethics, and client relationships, along with prosperity consciousness and manifesting. Online, the two are delivered together as 50 hours of live Zoom training over three months.
Level 5 is Group Facilitator Training, an eight- to ten-day intensive for people who want to lead their own groups.
Alongside the classes, certification requires:
- Private sessions: at least 10 sessions (20 hours) with a certified Clarity practitioner
- Assisting: about 50 hours assisting at trainings and events
- Supervision and mentoring: 20 hours, including at least four private sessions with each co-founder
- Client sessions: 60 hours, meaning at least three clients for ten two-hour sessions each, with a log submitted for certification
- Electives: 60 hours of related study in body, mind, spirit, and shadow work, where prior studies can count
Thirty client sessions plus supervision from the founders is a solid practice requirement, comparable to the AIR School of Breathwork and stronger than most online certifications.
The Curriculum
The group trainings total around 175 class hours. Topics include birth and childhood trauma, family and ancestral patterns, relationships and sexuality, what the school calls “unraveling the death urge,” forgiveness practices, and facilitating group breathwork. Level 3 draws on teachers including Adyashanti, Byron Katie, Gangaji, Eckhart Tolle, Marshall Rosenberg, Peter Levine, and Stan Grof.
The “death urge” and the focus on birth come straight from Orr’s original Rebirthing framework, and Level 4’s prosperity consciousness and manifesting work does too. The elective suggestions include Light Body work and “Creating Money based on the teachings of Orin and DaBen.” This is a spiritual curriculum through and through, more so than most trauma-informed conscious connected breathing schools.
Clarity Breathwork Cost
Clarity publishes prices for its first four levels:
| Level | Regular price | Early registration |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 (online) | $595 | $395 |
| Level 2 (online) | $1,495 | $1,295 |
| Levels 3 and 4 (online) | $1,995 | $1,795 |
| In-person retreats (e.g. Bali 2027) | $1,995 | $1,695 to $1,795 |
Payment plans are available for most levels. Online, Levels 1 to 4 come to $4,085 at regular prices, or $3,485 with early registration, roughly £3,050 or €3,500.
That is not the cost of certification. Several required parts are not priced on the site:
- Level 5, the group facilitator training, has no published price on the pages we read.
- Ten private sessions with a certified practitioner, paid to that practitioner.
- Eight private supervision sessions with the co-founders, plus a supervision pod.
- Electives, which are your own workshops and courses.
After certification, practitioners pay $65 a year plus a one-time $85 setup fee for access to the practitioner portal. Our annual fees guide compares this with other programs.
We cannot give a full certification total because too many components are unpriced. Ask Clarity for a written estimate of the complete path before you start.
Accreditation and Evidence
Clarity lists its program as a 400+ hour GPBA Certified Professional Training Program, the GPBA’s higher tier. That is a meaningful signal in this field, though it is a voluntary standard, not a licence (see our accreditation guide).
We found no research on Clarity Breathwork as a method. Like other Rebirthing-derived schools, its explanations (birth imprints, the death urge, prosperity consciousness) are not supported by evidence, while the underlying connected breathing is part of a research area that is still early. Our research by method guide covers the wider picture.
We also found no independent reviews of the training on Reddit, Trustpilot, or similar sites. Testimonials on the site are positive and come from participants.
Pros and Cons
What works well
- Real client practice - 30 client sessions, assisting, and supervision with the founders are required.
- GPBA certified - Listed as a 400+ hour certified program, the GPBA's higher tier.
- Online path - Levels 1 to 4 can be completed online, with in-person retreats as an option.
- Experienced founders - Decades of teaching in the Rebirthing tradition, and open about that lineage.
What doesn't
- Incomplete pricing - Level 5, required private sessions, and supervision are not priced on the site.
- Spiritual core - The death urge, prosperity consciousness, and manifesting are part of the training.
- No evidence base - No research on the method, and core ideas are unsupported.
- Low profile - Little independent feedback and limited brand recognition outside breathwork circles.
Clarity Breathwork Market Comparisons
Clarity vs. AIR School of Breathwork
Both come from Rebirthing, both require 30 client sessions, and both meet the GPBA’s 400-hour standard. AIR publishes its full price (about £3,100 to £5,550 for the whole diploma) and runs from the UK and France. Clarity’s published level fees look similar, but the full certification cost is harder to pin down. Choose AIR if you want a clear total and a UK or European base. Choose Clarity if its music, movement, and meditation-led style appeals to you and you are happy to price the extras yourself.
Clarity vs. Transformational Breath
Transformational Breath is also linked to the early Rebirthing movement and also separates group facilitation into its own level. It publishes all its core prices ($5,450 for one-to-one certification) and requires 40 documented sessions. Both carry a metaphysical layer, including prosperity work. Choose Transformational Breath for fuller price transparency and hands-on Bodymapping. Choose Clarity for a gentler, more music- and movement-based approach.
Clarity vs. Alchemy of Breath
Alchemy of Breath costs $5,800 to $6,900 for 400+ hours, with shadow work and a residential in Tuscany. It is the bigger brand. Clarity is smaller, more devotional in tone, and asks for more client work with outside supervision. Choose Alchemy for a larger community and a single program price. Choose Clarity for a smaller, founder-led training with a longer practice requirement.
Who This Is For
- Spiritually oriented practitioners - Mantra, light body work, and Rebirthing ideas feel like home to you.
- People who want supervision - You want to work with real clients under the founders' guidance before you certify.
- Remote learners - You want to complete most of the path online.
Who Should Pass
- Evidence-first professionals - Look at functional breathing certifications instead.
- Budget planners - If you need the full cost upfront, too many parts are priced separately or not at all.
- Secular facilitators - The spiritual framework is central, not optional.
Clarity Breathwork Verdict
Clarity is a serious practitioner path wrapped in a devotional, spiritual style. The practice requirements are real: private sessions, assisting, supervision with the founders, and 30 client sessions before certification. The GPBA recognition and the online option make it accessible and credible within the field.
What holds it back is that you cannot see the full price. The first four levels are clearly priced at around $4,000, but Level 5, the private sessions, and the supervision are not, so the real total will be higher by an amount the site does not let you calculate. And like every school in the Rebirthing family, its ideas about birth, death, and prosperity are spiritual beliefs, not established findings.
Bottom line: A good fit for spiritually minded students who want a gentle, supervised path in the Rebirthing tradition and can do most of it online. Get a written estimate of the full certification cost before you commit.
